Barbeque season may be coming to a close, but it’s not over yet just ask rapper Bun B and chef Rodney Scott, owner of Rodney Scott's Whole Hog BBQ in Charleston, SC. In this final episode of Grilling Sessions, the Third Coast foodies fuse South Carolina and Texas-style BBQ together to create the ultimate Bun B burger.

Before whipping up the recipe, the Palmetto State pitmaster and Houston’s self-titled Trill Grill go over the importance of “creating hot and cold zones with your coals to regulate cooking temperatures” if you want the right taste, says chef Scott.

While Bun B watches the pitmaster prep a slew of sides to top off this savory burger, Scott clarifies the difference between grilling styles charcoal, gas, and wood and why the ember-cooked method is the way to go. In Bun’s words, “Kingsford charcoal, a little bit of South Carolina, and a little bit of Texas, [make] a whole lotta good.”
