We all love a fantastic bowl of ramen, but what if you’re either a college kid, or else you just don’t feel like leaving the house? Once you’ve had the real thing, a lot of prepackaged ramen is just disappointing.

Sun Noodle just announced that it’s teaming up with NYC-area Whole Foods locations to save your sorry pantry on those days when you can’t even. NYC-area Whole Foods will begin carrying exclusive Sun Noodle Shoyu Ramen and Miso Ramen kits—both MSG-free, so you’ll have to stock your own shaker if you’re an MSG believer.

There’s only one Sun Noodle, so those noodles that will soon be in your pantry are coming from the same line that’s providing Momofuku Noodle Bar and Ivan Ramen and Slurp Shop.

Sun Noodle actually does make other make-at-home noodle kits that have received rave reviews from Serious Eats. According to SE, the tan tan ramen was their favorite, with miso ramen, shoyu ramen, and tonkotsu ramen coming up behind.

You can always take Roy Choi’s advice to make instant ramen good, if you’re stuck with sub-par brands in the meantime:

american cheese my friend. also use salted nori sheets and canned meats. do it up mang”

If you’re looking for other Sun Noodle make-at-home kits, they have a handy store locator to guide you to the nearest Asian market that stocks them.
