Pizza Hut is no stranger to obscure international menu offerings: a Crown Crust cheeseburger pizza exists in the Middle East, Canada has been blessed with the Cheesy Beef Poutine pizza, and Singaporeans get to indulge in calzone-crusted Fully Loaded pies.

Now, Eater brings word of the latest bizarro mashup: New Zealand’s Chee-Zee Marmite Stuffed Crust Pizza.

Unless you’re from the United Kingdom or New Zealand, you might not have tasted Marmite, yeast-based spread that’s often eaten as a breakfast spread on toast. Suffice to say that it’s an acquired taste. But according to Digital Journal, the newly launched pizza is the result of an informal Facebook competition, so there’s no denying that the Kiwis are into it.

To make the new mashup, Pizza Hut New Zealand has taken its Cheese Extreme pizza—a plain cheese pie with three times the normal amount of mozzarella—and stuffed the crust with Marmite and another layer of mozzarella cheese. The pie is priced at $8 NZ (around $6.76 US) for a large, and it will only be available for a limited time.

We think we’ll stick to our Crazy Cheese Crust.
