We thought Mark Rantal, the Colorado resident who ate Chipotle for 101 days in a row, was truly impressive. But he’s got nothing on Andrew Hawryluk.
Twenty-three-year-old Hawryluk has gone where no Chipotle superfan has gone before—he’s eaten nothing but Chipotle for 153 days (and counting). Over on his blog, Chipotlife, Hawryluk documents the “culinary endurance art piece,” and preaches on just how you, too, can get swole with the help of a burrito bowl (or 200).
Currently, Hawryluk has spent $1,567 on burrito bowls and eaten over 110,890 calories, keeping a running tally over at Chipotlife.com.

What started as a 40-day challenge for the month of Lent turned into a full-fledged lifestyle, even dictating where Hawryluk is willing to go on vacation. Hawryluk tells Business Insider, “I want to go to Berlin, but I can’t because they don’t have a Chipotle.”
Fortunately, Chipotle has given back just as much as Hawryluk has put in. The twenty-something somehow got ripped eating Chipotle everyday. He says that the burrito bowls are ideal because they fit his macros. Somewhere in the world, Big Sean is smiling.
First We Feast caught up with the Chipotle hero to find out if his bowel movements are regular, if #carnitasgate has affected his diet, and so much more.
Have you noticed consistency at Chipotle locations across the U.S.?
Absolutely. I can say I’ve had Chipotle all over the world, since I’ve had it outside the U.S.—in Toronto, to be precise, runnin’ through the 6 with my bowls—and it tastes exactly the same everywhere. Consistency, in my opinion, is one of the best things a restaurant can claim.
How are your bowel movements?
My bowel movements look, smell, and taste 100% normal.

Have you ever pulled an Obama and crossed the sneeze guard?
No, never. That is a sin. I’ve reprimanded friends and family alike for making that mistake and embarrassing me.
Why do you only order chicken at Chipotle? Are you afraid #carnitasgate will let you down?
No way, Chipotle would never let me down. I do a chicken bowl every time because I prefer the texture and taste to the other meats, plus it fits my macros and it’s a bit cheaper than the others.
Would you ever consider tampering with your burrito by putting fries in it?
I don’t get a burrito! I get a bowl. And no, I wouldn’t put fries in it because they don’t have fries at Chipotle. I do, however, dip my chips in my bowl quite often. Definitely a better dip than guac or salsa alone.
Would you recommend your Chipotle diet to other people?
Yes, definitely, so long as they consult their physician first, because I don’t want to get sued. It’s a very lean dish, coming in at only 605 calories. All the ingredients are now GMO-free, mostly organic, and fresh. Pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with eating rice, chicken, guacamole, and lettuce every day.
Do you refuse to touch food from other Mexican fast-food chains like Taco Bell?
My brother Nick is a huge Taco Bell fan and I love their food. Granted, the ingredients are probably a little less healthy, but I’d be lying if I said their chalupas didn’t taste incredible. As for the other Mexican fast-food chains, Chipotle tastes better in my opinion and has more locations, so I don’t see a reason to visit their restaurants.
