Milly’s Store, England’s answer to Williams Sonoma, has produced a handy knife chart which aims to help us identify the different types of knives in the kitchen, which in turn helps us select the best knife for the job at hand.
The chart profiles knives as general and all purpose in usage as the Santoku, and as specific as the decorating knife—which is ideal for decorative cuts on fruit and vegetable garnishes. So check out the infographic below, and never filet with a boning knife again.
