This new Carl’s Jr. salad ad featuring Jenny McCarthy continues the brand’s food porn-meets-softcore advertising campaign, which has already included tongue-in-cheek, heavily sexed ads with Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum, and Kate Upton (and left an indelible mark on the food-TV “O” face).
But what’s weird about this one is how out-of-date it feels. Seriously—when was the last time you thought about Jenny McCarthy? Or listened to Pharoahe Monch’s “Desire” since it was released in 2007? Or paired walnuts and cranberries in a salad for that matter?
Oh well. It seems innovation and novelty are unnecessary when you can celebrate the timelessness of boobs.
