A contributor to the website Brand Eating was invited to try Taco Bell’s Grilled Stuft Nacho at the Taco Bell HQ. The Taco Bell test item features “a grilled flour tortilla wrapped up in the triangular shape of a large tortilla chip filled with seasoned ground beef, warm nacho cheese, zesty nacho sauce, crunchy red tortilla strips, and sour cream,” reports the site.

The Grilled Stuft Nacho was tested earlier this year in Knoxville, TN and will make an appearance nationwide some time next year. The product looks quite similar to the Crunchwrap Supreme, only with a folded shape and grilled tortilla.

Here are a few of the key tasting notes from the Brand Eating review:

  • “It felt a lot like a giant, slightly-crispy-but-mostly-soft tortilla chip”
  • “I got a good mix of beef, cheese, nacho sauce, and sour cream. The zesty nacho sauce is similar to Taco Bell’s lava sauce with without the spice.”
  • “The strips are only going to be crunchy if you eat it right away.”
  • “While the balance was pretty good, I did fell like it could have used more chips and cheese for a more nacho-like feel.”
