With the legalization of recreational marijuana that took effect on the first of January, retailers throughout Colorado have started infusing marijuana into anything and everything in order to meet the skyrocketing demands for edibles.

According to the Huffington Post, recreational marijuana sales that came out of 37 new dispensaries in Colorado exceeded $5 million in the first week of legalization. Sales have been moving so rapidly that some shops have started to ration out the amount each customer can buy.

And what exactly are these weed lovers buying? All we can say is, pot brownies are old news. Retailers have gotten crafty and are now offering edibles that include gluten-free baked goods, spaghetti sauce, kettle chips, carbonated beverages, and more. Marijuana extracts, known as tinctures, can also be purchased for those who want to spike their own cooking with feel-good THC.
