The genius of the drive-thru is pure convenience—hot food delivered in a matter of minutes without ever leaving the car. It's a technological advancement that's made millions of people happy. But after one recent security breach, it might finally be due for an upgrade.

The mishap in the video above comes from New Bern, North Carolina, where a Mcdonald's drive-thru machine was hacked by some foul-mouthed, tech-savvy pranksters. The culprits hacked into the wireless system frequency of the Mickey D's talk-box, and served up their own version of customer service.

From the machine you can hear the hacker say "You know I'm actually on the toilet right now and I'm just going to serve you your food. I'm not even going to wash my hands. I'm trying to get some special sauce out right now." The voice later tells the customer to pull up to the window so that he can "give you whatever the f--- I feel like giving you."

Franchisee Bill Parcell apologized for the incident and plans on getting down to the bottom of the hacking incident.

"We are investigating this matter with the help of the New Bern Police Department,” Purcell said. "In addition, we are taking steps to prevent this isolated incident from happening again. As local owners, our biggest priority is our customers and community and we want to ensure that every experience at our restaurant is a positive one.”

Everyone loves a good prank, but when it interferes with getting your fries, that's a major problem.
