The original pizza rat is back. After a Thanksgiving full of painful #MannequinChallenges—with everyone from your aunt, to your high school football coach, to Guy Fieri throwing their hats in the ring—there's a new viral competition that will be filling your news feed this holiday season, and it's all thanks to Chuck E. Cheese.
According to the Daily Dot, the video comes courtesy of Marquese Scott, Bam the Dancer, and iGlide, three professional dancers who decided to mimic Chuck and the rest of his animatronic band in the hopes of going viral. The robots were famous for entertaining droves of children in the 1980s as they snacked on 'za and played skeeball at birthday parties.
Instead of continuing to beat Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" to death, the dancers lip-sync Childish Gambino's "Redbone" while doing their best Westworld impressions. Scott's performance, in particular, is eerily reminiscent of Chuck's strange, spastic movements, setting the bar pretty high for families hoping film their own versions of the challenge on Christmas morning.
As one can imagine, the video is making its rounds on the Internet this week along with the hashtag #ChuckECheeseChallenge, and a few other dancers have already stepped up—for better or for worse.
