Over the course of his 14 years as a television host, Anthony Bourdain has built a career around being the ultimate dinner companion, equally at ease sipping beers with Barack Obama in Vietnam, or dining with Iggy Pop in Miami, Florida.

But for all the bread Tony has broken over the years, all the families that have welcomed him into their homes, one man remains elusive, serving as the Moby Dick to Bourdain’s Captain Ahab. No, it's definitely not Donald Trump. Tony's white whale is none other than Keith Richards, the legendary guitarist from the Rolling Stones, and the star of the critically acclaimed film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (never forget).

In a recent interview with CBS This Morning, Bourdain revealed that he's been trying to sit down for a meal with Richards for years, but to no avail. Towards the end of the interview, he laid out his dream date with the aging rocker.

“I’ve been trying for years,” the chef said. “We’d eat like bangers and mash and maybe cook steak and kidney pie with Keith Richards and maybe talk about British naval history, which he’s a big fan of. I think that would be super cool.”

Now that we think about it, Richard and Bourdain really make be the perfect dinner date: one is an actual rockstar and the other just lives like one. Besides, Bourdain used to dress like he was Mick Jagger anyway.
