As pizza continues to dominate the Internet—and millennials become more and more food-obsessed by the minute—Grown-Up Club, a “monthly activity group” in Minnesota, has created an overnight summer camp for adults where all you do is munch on mountains of gooey cheese, sauce, and bread in the woods.
Though the events sounding like a plotline from Portlandia, Pizza Camp is located about 20 minutes outside of Minneapolis in Maple Plain, and will go down this weekend at the Baker Near-Wilderness Settlement. Unfortunately, pizza isn’t served for breakfast, but there is a build-your-own pizza and toppings bar, a homemade mobile woodfire pizza oven, and an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet. After dinner, campers will listen to the “saucy sounds” of the Time Life Pizza Collection, who boast a repertoire of over 100 pizza-themed cover songs.
This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle wet dream costs $125—including programming, lodging, meals—and comes with a Pizza Camp swag pack stuffed with a pizza-embroidered t-shirts, beer koozies, tote bags, and enamel pins (!).
“Think of it like a grown-up version of an after-school group, except with less acne and more unwanted body hair” the Grown-Up Club website reads. “Grown-Up Club is designed to help both the socially gifted and the socially inept connect with each other over absurd shared experiences.”
You can keep the enamel pins and ice-breaker games. Just give us the ‘za.
