The 2016 Emmy Awards are officially underway. And while the evening has already seen a host of memorable moments—including powerful acceptance speeches from Jeffrey Tambor, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Master of None's Alan Yang, as well as a cringe-worthy Bill Cosby joke from Jimmy Kimmel—the highlight so far came when three of the stars from Netflix's Stranger Things went through the crowd handing out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Apparently, Kimmel's mom packed everyone some brown bag lunches so they wouldn't get hungry during the show. Dustin, Lucas, and Eleven threw the bags in the baskets of their bikes and started trotting down the aisles.
The audience even got hand-written notes from Kimmel's mom, Joan, scrawled in pen on folded paper napkins.
Still, while everyone seemed to enjoy the PB&J, the Internet couldn't help but wonder why El wasn't giving out her trademark Eggo waffles.
Kimmel must have heard about David Schimmer's love for juice, and gave the People v. O.J. Simpson star something to sip on with his sandwich.
Later, Matt Damon interrupted Kimmel on stage, clueing him in about an after party, and telling the late-night host that he enjoyed "dem apples" from his mother.
