“Y’all haters corny with that Illuminati mess.” Though Beyoncé ended her show-stopping VMA performance with those words during “Formation” Sunday night, the singer ultimately did little to dispel rumors of belonging to an all-powerful, secret society at the after-party. Along with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Diddy, Cassie, Steve Stoute, and her husband, Jay Z, Beyoncé could be seen celebrating in New York City with the rest of hip-hop’s reigning aristocracy.
Swizz Beatz shared a photo of the rap-game roundtable on Instagram earlier Monday morning with the caption, “Family Zone.”
According to TMZ, those gauntlet-sized glasses of wine were served up at Pasquale Jones, a small, wood-fire Italian restaurant on Mulberry Street in Nolita. And though the restaurant is, on the surface, a Neapolitan-style pizza joint, it makes sense why the crew would choose Pasquale Jones over the dollar slices down the road at 2 Bros.
“This restaurant, the brainchild of Robert Bohr, Grant Reynolds, and Ryan Hardy, the guys behind Charlie Bird in the West Village, might be the city's poshest pizzeria,” Eater wrote in June. “You'll find ramp pies, service-included prices that aren't sky-high, vintage Dom Perignon, custom-built Stefano Ferrara wood ovens, $125 rib steaks cooked by a chef who wears an Apple Watch, and a dining room full of strapless, backless, bare-shouldered patrons who look like glossy cut outs from the pages of Vogue.”
