On Friday, Vince Staples—the Long Beach-bred rapper and retired Twitter troll—released the Prima Donna EP, his first project since his debut album, Summertime ‘06, dropped last summer. And while the record further solidifies the 23-year-old MC’s place as one of the more exciting artists in hip-hop right now, Staples has also become a source of comedic gold online, reviewing everything from NBA Style, to Apple’s new, “non-racist” emojis, to the Rio Olympics in a number of videos for GQ.
Now, in the latest installment of the series, the rapper has turned his attention toward health-food snacks, bashing veggie sticks, Halfpops, and beet, horseradish, and butternut squash-flavored chips.
“We gotta start respecting people’s cultures. Next time, y’all gotta get the hot wings Doritos. Those are fire,” he says, after claiming butternut squash is the reason there are so many murders in the world. “Next time, we’re doing pizza. What the fuck is wrong with you guys?”
