We've been building up to this moment for a while now. Over the years, there's been a long, storied history of customers riding their horses up to drive-thru windows and demanding service. Now, a North Texas cowboy has said the hell with the drive-thru altogether and ridden his trusty steed directly into a Taco Bell after competing in a tie-down calf roping competition.
A third generation cowboy, Latham Crump took his horse, Hollywood, into the local Tex-Mex joint last week after being egged on by his friends. He posted a photo of the gag on his Instagram with the caption, "When you roll through Taco Bell in Texas but the drive-thru is out of order."
While customers inside the restaurant peeked up from their Crunch Wraps and Gorditas to chuckle at the stunt, apparently to true Texans, it's not really that big of a deal. Crump and his cowbros say they do this kind of stuff all the time
"Well it's just kind of an everyday thing for us to do stuff like that," Crump told Fox 4, admitting that the photo had been "blowing up big" on social media."It's not really a big deal, but I guess everybody else don't ever see nothing like that."
Crump, like many cowboys, shares a special bond with his horse, who he's raised since it was a colt. What was he supposed to do, just leave Hollywood in the parking lot?
"[He] travels around with me everywhere and every day and just hardly do anything without him,” Crump said.
