It's been a rough week for Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor. On Sunday, he was suspended for eight games after cold-cocking Blue Jay's outfielder Jose Bautista in the jaw. After appealing the suspension, he's been able to play in the Rangers' last three games, but went only 2-13 from the plate in three losses. Still, there may be a silver-lining to Odor's recent stretch of bad luck. Earlier this week, the player was awarded every carnivore's dream: a lifetime supply of free BBQ.

"We just thought it would be a funny thing if we [gave] Rougie free food because he wasn't the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year," Travis Heim, the owner of Heim BBQ in Fort Worth, Texas, told NBC 5. "It's kind of a justice, a little bit."

Odor and Heim aren't the only Texans who've had beef with Bautista over the years. The feud originated in 2015 when Bautista launched a celebratory bat flip in the air after hitting a home run in the American League Playoffs. Texans have held onto a little bit of a grudge, so when Odor delivered his payback punch to Bautista's chin, Heim decided congratulations were in order.

While the boost in publicity should bring in some extra business, Heim is just hoping Odor doesn't start treating the restaurant like his own personal kitchen.

"Hopefully, he doesn't like barbecue too much, because then we might be in the red," Heim said. "It's just a fun deal, you know."
