If there’s one thing that we ask from our food producers, its that you please refrain from peeing on the food that we will one day eat. At Kellogg’s, though, that rule seems hard to follow, as video has surfaced of an employee of the cereal giant breaking that very, very simple rule. The video, filmed from a first-person view, shows the dude peeing all over the cereal-production line.
According to Heavy, the video was originally thought to have originated from a Battle Creek, Michigan production plant, but has since been linked to a Memphis, Tennessee factory. The video was filmed in 2014 but was taken down. It has now been reposted by WorldStarHipHop.
Kellogg’s has already released a statement about the video:
Kellogg takes this situation very seriously and we were shocked and deeply disappointed by this video that we just learned of yesterday. We immediately alerted law enforcement authorities and regulators. A criminal investigation is underway as well as a thorough internal investigation.
Our investigation revealed that the video was recorded at our Memphis, TN facility, in 2014. Products that could have been potentially affected were Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal and puffed rice cake products, all of which would be past expiration date.
Food quality is of the utmost importance to Kellogg Company. We are outraged by this completely unacceptable situation, and we will work closely with authorities to prosecute to the full extent of the law.
What is the legal penalty for pissing all over a Rice Krispies plant? We have no idea, but we’re anxious to find out. We’ll keep you posted on any new developments and consequences—that is, if Kellogg’s can figure out who was in the video.
