The sushi bar is an ideal place to flaunt your wealth—and apparently your reptile collection.

According to CBS Los Angeles, a man at Iroha Sushi in Sherman Oaks, California was arrested for allegedly “throw[ing] a large python” at customers.

Inexplicably, the man in question first brought in a smaller snake to the restaurant after paying $200 for his meal. After several patrons complained, the man walked out and returned with a 13-foot snake, which he dropped in the middle of the floor.

The news outlet talked to waitress Sissi Dashtort, who described the scene: “We asked him like three or four times [to remove the snake] and he said, ‘no.’ He was like starting fights with the customers so we had to call the police and fire department.”

Animal Control eventually contained the snake in a container; meanwhile, police arrested the man and charged him “for using the snake as a weapon,” according to Metro.

“It’s one of the weirdest calls we’ve had to respond to,” said an LAPD officer.
