When it launched last October, McDonald’s all-day breakfast menu had some serious caveats. In a statement released on the McDonald’s website, the fast-food giant explained, “Depending on the local market, All Day Breakfast will have a limited menu that focuses on either McMuffin or Biscuit items.”
This meant that “depending on customer preference” based on location, there would be either a McMuffin or biscuit menu available all-day long—not both. People got mad, understandably, and voiced their disapproval on various social media outlets. It looks like McD’s took notice of disgruntled all-day breakfast fans.
Brand Eating reports that McDonald’s is “testing serving the entire breakfast menu all day at a few locations, which means you can choose from McGriddles, English muffins, and biscuits.” The “All Day Breakfast: Bigger Menu,” as it’s been dubbed by the chain, is currently being tested in Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as Triad, North Carolina.
Fun fact about McD’s biscuits, courtesy of Brand Eating: “The Triad area also happens to be one of the markets where McDonald’s bakes their biscuits from scratch and offers the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Biscuit (a biscuit sandwich with a Buttermilk Crispy Chicken filet; it’s basically a spiritual successor to the discontinued Southern-Style Chicken Biscuit).” That sounds absolutely ridiculous, and makes us want to book a flight to Triad just to try the chicken biscuit.
Hey @McDonalds why in the hell is the chicken biscuit not on the all-day breakfast menu?
