Last week, Chipotle offered its second round of free burritos because of health scares that continue to plague the chain (norovirus was again found, this time at a Massachusetts location). When all is said and done, Bloomberg estimates that the fast-casual titan will have given away $66 million in food to try and win back customers.
That number might soon climb higher: Customers can now play a Photo Hunt-style game to win a free order of chips and guacamole. Chipotle recently launched its GuacHunter.com domain and will offer the prize if you successfully make it through three rounds of the game. All players have to do is locate five differences between two photos each round before the time runs out. If they’re able to complete that task, the gratis side order is all theirs.
Then again, we played, failed in the third and final round, and still ended up winning—so it appears that simply participating is enough of a qualification for the reward.
