Finding time for family is hard in 2016. At home, the Apple TV is always on, the teens are constantly Snapchatting, and no one has time to sit together. Restaurants are even worse: Tweeting under the table is considered polite in contrast to the blatant phone-on-the-table meals that seem to be ubiquitous these days. Chick-Fil-A is hoping to change that by offering free ice cream to families that can survive an entire meal without using their phones.

According to Foodbeastthe chicken chain is calling the new promotion the Family Challenge, and the rules are pretty simple:

  • Ask the counterperson for a cardboard cell phone coop, provided free of charge
  • Everyone puts their phones in the box
  • Eat
  • Put your phones back in your pockets and tell the counterperson that you’ve completed the challenge
  • Receive free ice cream
  • Take an Instagram photo of you and your ice cream to prove to the Internet that you don’t need your phone

Okay, we might have made that last one up, but you know those photos will be flooding your feed soon enough. The promotion is currently running at participating Chick-Fil-A locations, and runs strictly on the honor system.
