It was only a matter of time before Bronsolino got into the cookbook game. Rolling Stone reports that the rapping gourmand has signed a deal with Abrams to bring Fuck, That’s Delicious: An Annotated Guide to Eating Well to the people in fall 2017.
Much like his popular Munchies series—now on the boob tube via the Viceland channel—the book will combine travelogue with recipes, as well as other Bam Bam miscellany: handwritten lyrics, backstage photos, storyboards from his music videos, and more.
Judging by the success of Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings, it’s a good time for pop culture–cookbook crossovers from personalities who have actually established some cred in the culinary world. Questlove will release his first foray into food writing, Something to Food About: Exploring Creativity with America’s Most Innovative Chefs, next month.
What makes us most excited about Bronson’s book, however, is that it will be co-written by veteran NYC food writer Rachel Wharton, a James Beard Award winner with lots of experience digging beneath the veneer of local food culture for publications like Edible and the New York Times.
We’re excited to get more details about the book project. In the meantime, here’s an IG video of Bam Bam cutting up a Hawaiian pig head:
