Money really doesn’t buy love, which is something that controversial presidential hopeful Donald Trump learned at a New Hampshire diner earlier this week. According to ABC7, the real estate mogul, who recently removed a Muslim woman from one of his rallies, stopped by the Red Arrow Diner after after a Monday rally and received an unexpected side of sass with his lunch.
A young woman who identified herself as Jane shouted “Enjoy your burger, racist!” at Trump from the back of the restaurant before walking out. Jane, who declined to give her last name, told the news station that she was visiting the state from South Carolina and was not aware that Trump would be stopping in while she was enjoying her lunch. She says she walked out because she is not a fan of his antics. “I’m really struck by his racism and Islamophobia… I wanted to make sure people remembered that he is racist, and that he’s using it to rally voters.” Check out her full interview and hear her heckling below:
The comments didn’t appear to hurt Trump’s appetite: he ordered a cheeseburger, fries, “a ball of deep-fried macaroni and cheese,” and a Diet Coke to wash it all down. He told his fellow patrons that cheeseburgers were his “favorite food” and proclaimed, “I love diners.” The comb-over enthusiast, however, doesn’t love Starbucks. Late last year he called for a boycott of the popular coffee chain over its famed holiday red cups, which were free of Christmas-imagery this year. Trump proclaimed at a rally, “If I become president, we’re all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you.” We’ll also all probably be eating more cheeseburgers or planning moves to Canada.
