How are you doing on that New Year’s resolution to get your diet back in check? Not so great? Well Chick-Fil-A has a rather intriguing diet tip to help you get “healthy.”
On a recent trip to Chick-Fil-A, SB Nation’s Rodger Sherman noticed some “great ideas for healthier living,” courtesy of the chicken-sandwich chain. The standout tip advised customers to “add one healthy habit to [their] routine,” and suggested that CFA fans snack on an eight-piece chicken nugget order every three to four hours.

The tip comes on the heels of the Taco Cleanse craze that even Jennifer Aniston is celebrating, because who doesn’t want to eat tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? But what happened to moderation? Even if the Chick-Fil-A nuggets are grilled and the Taco Cleanse tacos are vegan, too much of anything isn’t beneficial to your health.
Plus, the Chick-Fil-A nuggets aren’t that healthy. One serving of eight-count nuggets is about 140 calories (which is a good amount for a snack), but those nuggets contain 530 mg of sodium. If you choose to follow CFA’s advice and eat eight nuggets somewhere around five times a day, that will bring you to 2,650 mg of sodium just from chicken nuggets alone. To put this in perspective, the daily recommended intake of sodium for the average adult is 2,300 mg a day.
And let us not forget it’s just plain boring to eat the same thing all day, every day.
