Marshawn Lynch is no stranger to inspiring today’s youth, especially when there are chicken wings involved.

On a recent trip to McDonald’s, Beast Mode struck up a conversation with a teenage McDonald’s employee and handed him $500, simply because he wanted to help the kid out.

Seventeen-year-old Terrance Downs was mopping up the floor when he and Marshawn Lynch struck up a conversation about Lynch’s sneakers. Downs tells TMZ,

“I told him I liked his shoes—navy blue Buscemis—and how I wanted to buy a pair and we all started talking,”

After asking Terrance about his dream of owning a boutique, Marshawn handed Downs $500 as a jumpstart to reach his goal. Lynch told him, “if you’re serious about getting those shoes, here’s some money to help you get them. My job is to continue to see you grow.”

The experience left a lasting impression on Downs. After going out to buy the shoes, Terrance explains he hopes he “can do the same thing for someone else one day.”

A representative for Marshawn confirmed the story, explaining, “Marshawn left a huge positive impact on Terrance.” What a guy.
