Last week, a London coffee shop with a profane name was asked to take down its offensive sign. After being threatened with legal action, café owner Adrian Jones found the perfect way to make the lawyers happy while still portraying his company’s all-important message.

In case you missed it, here’s what the original sign looked like:

Behold—the new and improved “F*ckoffee,” because adding an asterisk makes anything palatable.

According to the Daily Mail, the “offensive” name wasn’t all bad, seeing as the café saw a 20-percent increase in sales after it adopted the profane title.

A source tells Mashable, “[The lawyers] will no doubt not be happy their authority is being questioned. Legally, now the word fuck has been censored, there is little they can do.”

If anything, the drama surrounding the coffee shop’s name has just served as amazing publicity for the café because, let’s be honest, it’s pretty great.
