Mike Vegas found a pleasant surprise when he opened his box of Dominos chicken wings: $1,300 in cold hard cash.

According to The Huffington Post, a Berkeley, California Dominos delivery man stashed the money inside a chicken wings box which he planned to deposit by the bank after his delivery. Instead, the box was mixed up with Vegas’ chicken-wing order and he ended up receiving a box with $1,300 concealed inside.

Mike ate only one slice of pizza before going to bed, and Mike was not even aware of the huge sum of cash that was hiding inside his box of chicken wings. The next day, the employee called Vegas looking for the missing money. Vegas missed the first few calls while he was at work.

He tells ABC News,

“I wanted to keep it, believe me. But I can’t, I can’t do that.”

Instead, Vegas did the right thing and returned the money. Karma proved to be in his favor, as the pizza chain offered him free pizza for the entire year. Vegas still believes that additional karma is coming his way, and tells HuffPo, “bonus-karma should drop by my place soon.”
