Did your parents ground you for leaving empty pizza boxes in your bedroom or staying out late as a teen? Consider yourself lucky.

Your parents were mad chill compared to two professional bodybuilders in South Carolina who were arrested this week when police found their daughter living in the woods a quarter mile away from their home. According to police, the 14-year-old girl ate a Pop-Tart toaster pastry without her parents permission; in retaliation, her parents, James and Crystal Driggers, locked the child out of their house and left her to fend for herself for a week in a tent a quarter mile from the family home. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment.

Authorities found the Driggers girl in the woods two days into her sentence, after the girl’s grandmother had ratted her parents out to the police.

NY Daily News reports the teen was sent off with nothing but a flashlight, whistle, watch, and a single roll of toilet paper to last her through the week. Without knowledge of the wilderness or proper hunting tools, the young girl was given specific times to meet her parents by a fence where she would be given food. If she missed the time, the girl would have to go hungry. We’re guessing the Driggers weren’t feeding their daughter any Pop-Tarts.

Throughout the two days in the forest, the Driggers’ daughter had to suffer through thunderstorms and camp in an area known for its wild hog population. To shelter herself from the rain, the girl hid out in her tent until the county sheriff department came to her rescue. To think: all of this torture because she snacked without permission!

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time the teen experienced cruel punishment. Last month, she was excluded from living inside the house from 8am to 8pm. The girl now resides with Social Services while her parents are in the custody of the state. The four other Driggers children are living with their grandparents, safe from the psychotic parents.
