Out of the 78 Popeyes restaurants in NYC’s five boroughs, 37% (or 29) of those Popeyes are located in Brooklyn. Popeyes franchisees clearly prefer to open up in King’s County.

According to a report detailing the distribution of chains across the city, different cheap chains favor certain boroughs over others. Time Out NY points out that 100% of NYC Pret A Manger locations are in Manhattan and Staten Island, and 33% of Baskin Robins locations are in Queens.
Meanwhile, IHOP is big in the Bronx.
