Momofuku chef David Chang is a master of turning inexpensive-as-hell instant ramen into delicacies like the Ramlet and Ramensagna. His latest noodle trick: turning crushed Shin and Ichiban instant ramen into pupusa dough, stuffing it with mushroom ragu, and frying the little ramen cakes in a pan. “I can safely say this has never been done in the history of the world,” says Chang.


As luck would have it, his ramen-pupusa experiment was a great success.
