Sting rays are scary. They’re related to sharks, and one of them fatally stabbed Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin hundreds of times. Even as cute little babies, there’s something undeniably creepy about them. The expressions on their tiny little faces is unnerving, as are those tiny little feet that you’ll never hear coming.

See the resemblance?

Is this what we’ll see if we hold a piece of pasta up to the light? A bunch of resentful faces judging us?

They still look like ravioli even when they’re surprised.

And this one is very clearly just a piece of pasta with eyes.

Some stingrays are wholewheat, apparently.

And others come with garnish.
