If you’re a frequent reader of this site, you may have noticed an increased number of stories tackling the L.A. food scene recently. We’ve investigated how Los Angeles became an epicenter of Chinese cuisine in America, talked to the insider “scouts” who help famed critic Jonathan Gold uncover the city’s most under-the-radar gems, and discovered real-deal Japanese cooking in the South Bay.

That extra shot of L.A. flavor is no coincidence. Since launching a mini satellite office in West Hollywood a few months ago, we’ve made it our mission to dig deeper into the foodways of Los Angeles, which are as exciting as ever these days. In true First We Feast fashion, that means looking everywhere our curiosity takes us for stories to share with you—from the kitchens of fine-dining game-changers like Michael Chimarusti of Providence, to backyards where you’ll find Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul cooking up wings in the L.A. sun.

We’ll still be covering New York and pursuing national stories with the same gusto as ever, but expect more interviews, features, recipe tutorials, and videos from the City of Angels.
