Well, somebody needed to kill off the Basic B*tch meme once and for all. Might as well be an overhyped burger chain.
Following in the footsteps of brands like Denny’s and DiGiorno that like to pretend to be teenagers on the Internet, Umami Burger has attempted to get out ahead of its Pumpkin Spice Latte Burger announcement by preemptively denying any claims of “basic-ness”:

The press release goes further: “So on your way to yogilates or Starbucks, pick up the Pumpkin Spice Latte Burger too. And don’t forget to throw on your Uggs. We swear you’ll be OBSESSED after first bite.” In case you’re wondering what’s in this monstrosity, here you go: garlic aioli, tempura kabocha, spiced mascarpone, and a coffee glaze
The PSL burger will go on sale at participating Umami Burger locations on November 5…at which point we can start a countdown to when this year of basic-ness will finally be over.
