So this is a pretty bizarre cross promotion: Starting today, an exclusive single from Usher called “Clueless” will be available for download with specially-marked Honey Nut Cheerios packages purchased at Walmart stores across the U.S.
At this point, the Honey Nut Cheerios bee could probably release the hottest album of 2014, since he is now friends with Nelly and Usher.
Usher partnered with Honey Nut Cheerios earlier this year for a commercial featuring his new song “She Came To Give It To You.” And now he’s at it again.
It’s unclear whether or not the track will appear on his soon-to-be-released eighth studio album, UR. It’s also unclear why it’s exclusively available in Honey Nut boxes—what if you’re a true vegan and not a beegan? That’s just not fair.
But it is clear that General Mills execs were like, “Where’s the best place to reach Usher fans?” and then decided on a box of breakfast cereal.
Now let’s take a moment to see what the Twitterverse has to say about the brand tie-in.
“OH WOW A NEW USHER SONG COMES WITH EACH BOX OF HONEY CHEERIOS” – Usher loudly in a supermarket to no one in particular
