Cheeseburgers are pretty much The Ultimate Food. Burritos are similarly incredible. So it makes sense that people would want to eat cheeseburgers in burrito form.
Cue the cheeseburger burrito, created by a taqueria in D.C. called California Tortilla.
According to QSR Mag, the dish is made with: ground beef, avocado, salsa, sauce, lettuce, jalapenos, Mexican rice, and queso, wrapped in a flour tortilla. This sounds kind of like a normal burrito with ground beef instead of carne asada or other meat, but who are we to call out a mashup impostor? Also, hard-shell tacos with ground beef and cheese are fantastic, so this burger burrito could be great, too.
The cheeseburgerrito (oh no we didn’t) is $6.59 for a small burrito, and $7.39 for a regular burrito or bowl, and it will be available until the end of this year.
It should be noted that Taco Bell tried this same concept. Seriously, there’s even a Facebook page about it titled “Bring back the Bacon-Cheeseburger Burrito TACO BELL!!”
