Attention, hypebeast food fans: your newest mashup food obsession isn’t on the streets of NYC.
The “Soulrrito”—a burrito stuffed with mac and cheese and soul food—is the food-coma-inducing love child of San Francisco DJ “Mr. E” of Papalote Mexican Grill and Pam Warren (a.k.a. “Pam the Funkstress”) who owns Piccadilly Catering.
The original Soulrrito featured tri-tip, collard greens, salsa-infused mac and cheese, and yams—all lovingly swaddled in a gigantic flour tortilla. DJ Mr. E and Pam the Funkstress first released the Soulrrito on Saturday, May 24th. It sold out in 30 minutes. Take a peek at the line below.

Sadly, several burrito-loving hearts were broken on that fateful Saturday.
But you have another chance to get a Soulrrito this Saturday, when DJ Mr. E and Pam the Funkstress drop Soulrrito 2. No tri-tip this time—instead, you get fried chicken (or soyrizo, if you’re a vegetarian).
Bring $11.25 (or $9.10 for the veggie) to the 24th Street location of Papalote at 11am this Saturday, May 31st. They’re making three times as many of the Soulrrito 2, so they might last longer than half an hour this time around. Maybe.
