On Friday night, the James Beard Foundation hosted its Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards at Gotham Hall in Manhattan. In addition to veterans like Martha Stewart, Ina Garten, and Heston Blumenthal, there were plenty of newer names lighting up the stage.
Besha Rodell won the “Wine, Spirits, and Other Beverages” category for her excellent essay “40 Ounces to Freedom” in Punch, while the three-year-old Lucky Peach racked up five medals, including one for Francis Lam’s profile, “A Day on Long Island with Alex Lee.” Somehow, we took home the prize for Best Group Food Blog, a fact we’re still trying to process on this bleary-eyed Monday morning.
Check out all of the winners below. Congrats to everyone!
