Your favorite writer, TV personality, and former chef Anthony Bourdain is working on a massive New York food market that will have stalls serving international street food, reports the NY Post. Tony’s seriously ’bout to stunt on Batali and Bastianich.
Bourdain tells Eater the dets:
Bourdain has teamed up with New York entrepreneur Stephen Werther on the project. Werther tells the NY Post: “We are ready to go with the concept, so we are going to be doing some very cool and unexpected pop-ups between now and the opening . . . showcasing different parts of what will be incorporated into the final big market. I am a huge foodie, so you can only imagine how much fun this project is to work on.”
The location has not been announced yet, but the NY Post‘s best guess is that the market might be a part of 3 World Trade Center or Hudson Yards. And if the project is a success, Bourdain might just expand it to other cities in the future.
As far as sexy robots, they are definitely a possibility.
“@raphael_brion: @Bourdain will there be giant sexy robots?” Great idea!!!
