Timid boy meets confident girl, watches her act silly and cool from afar, and finally makes some moves. Her mother tries to keep them apart, but nothing can stop young love.

Sound like the Wes Anderson film you watched a couple nights ago on Netflix? Well, it isn’t. The short film is actually a Turkish commercial for Unilever’s Cornetto Ice Cream.

The video, complete with trendy pop soundtrack by Turkish artist Yalın, has gone viral on YouTube. Since April, it’s gained 26 million views. Why? Because the story and film style is a perfect mix of Moonrise Kingdom and Romeo and Juliet.

Ben Curtis, senior brand development manager for Cornetto, told Marketing Week,

“The short films allow us to take more time to develop a deeper connection with teenagers in a way that we can’t in a 30-second spot. Also we know that our teens are always online, and are so creative.”
