The Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland 2014 has been released, promising big things from the British Isles. The guide features 158 starred dining establishments, showing a rise from last year’s 154. Highlights include four 3-star British restaurants, as well as 20 two-star spots across England, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. New restaurants include both Peruvian and Chinese spots, proving that British cuisine is finally branching out further than its own foggy little island. While in Britain, sample one of 700 types of cheese or visit a few of the 1,000 breweries listed. Other highlights from the guide:
