Dan Cretu is a Romanian artist who uses food to produce unbelievably eye-catching, intricate artwork. From popcorn, to sunflower seeds, to orange peels, Cretu deploys all manner of foodstuffs to create pieces ranging from cucumber cameras to salami cassette tapes.

Speaking about the project, Cretu told CreativeVisualArt.com, “All objects and things around us daily are possible subjects for me. The challenge is to transform a common object that we don’t notice anymore into something unusual, alive, and appealing.” He has definitely succeeded in his challenge, creating a portfolio of the most imaginative and inventive food art out.
