It’s official: Rachael Ray is rich, famous, and—according to Forbes—very powerful. The EVOO evangelist was just anointed by the magazine as the world’s sixty-ninth most powerful celebrity, as determined by predictable factors like wealth and less predictable factors like something called “marketability rank.” (The top spot went to Oprah, obviously.) Sandwiched between DJ Calvin Harris and non-smiler Kristen Stewart, Ray sits just eight ranks above fellow celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who is wealthier than Ray but falls lower in something called “press rank.”

This isn’t Ray’s first time on a Forbes list; way back in 2010, she also scored a spot on its ranking of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women, coming in at 77th on a list topped by Michelle Obama. Though Ray didn’t measure up to high-powered execs Indra Nooyi of PepsiCo or Irene Rosenfeld of Kraft, she did beat out fellow TV star Martha Stewart, who didn’t even merit inclusion in this year’s celebrity roundup.

It’s hard to believe the people behind Kitchen Nightmares and any number of perfectly preppy cooking shows lost out to a woman whose catch-phrase is “Yum-O!”, but Forbes thinks Ray is a force to be reckoned with. Then again, Beyoncé didn’t even crack the top ten, so something’s clearly off here.
