At noon today, Paula Deen tweeted that she would be “releasing a video statement shortly,” presumably in order to avoid further public shame for being a Calvin Candie-type racist.

This was after she cancelled her NBC Today Show interview that was scheduled for this morning, effectively pissing off Matt Lauer. How has Twitter reacted? By creating the hashtag #PaulaDeenApologyBingo, and making amazing bingo boards. The boards have phrases in each box that you can mark off when she mutters them during her sorry-ass apology video, such as “Some of my best friends are black” and “I donate to the NAACP all the time.” There have been an onslaught of suggestions for more phrases to put on the bingo board.
