Miami bakery Divine Delicacies made a seriously bedazzled cake for the Miami Heat Championship celebration. The Huffington Post reports that the confection was a six-tiered tower of red velvet, cream cheese, and vanilla rum cake, crowned with another basketball-shaped cake covered in 36,000 Swarovski crystals.
Alongside the first cake tower sat a replica of the NBA’s Larry O’Brien trophy topped with an edible Miami Heat championship hat made of sugar. Because the five-tiered trophy cake wasn’t already lavish enough, Divine Delicacies covered it in 24 karat edible gold paint. We bet LeBron James and Dwyane Wade ate the s**t out of that thing, while Shane Battier stuck with his Denny’s Grand Slam.
This is the second year in a row that local bakery Divine Delicacies crafted the Heat’s Championship cake. While the 2012 creation was magnificent, this year’s confection literally takes the cake.
