Year: 1991 Where it's from: Father of the Bride Why it's awesome: Steve Martin goes apeshit and reveals an Illuminati conspiracy about hot dogs being sold in packs of 8 and buns being sold in packs of 12. Genius.
"Made out with a hot dog. Oh my God, that was ONE TIME."

Year: 2004 Where it's from: Mean Girls Why it's awesome: It's one of the most quotable lines in Lindsay Lohan's last great film before she embarked on a life of DUIs and rehab.

Year: 1965 Where it's from: Old-school Oscar Meyer Wiener ads Why it's awesome: This cute—and somewhat dark—advertisement for Oscar Mayer wiener shows a small cartoon child being bullied into aligning himself with Oscar Mayer products. Until recently, the catchy tune was a staple of American childhood.
"Ask me about my wiener!"

Year: 2006 Where it's from: Accepted Why it's awesome: It's Jonah Hill forced to dress up as a hot dog and run around trying to convince people to ask about his wiener. How can the 13 year-old in you not laugh at that?
Azaelia Banks and a Suggestive Hot Dog

Year: 2012 Where it's from: Music video for "Liquorice" Why it's awesome: At 59 seconds into the video, Azaelia makes you think she's about to suggestively eat a hot dog. Then, she crushes it in her hand, cleverly subverting the innuendo. #girlpower
Liz Lemon Buys Hot Dogs

Year: 2006 Where it's from: The pilot episode of 30 Rock Why it's awesome: We see that no battle is too small for Liz Lemon, who is sticking it to the man one hot dog cart at a time. The moment is also an early indicator of Lemon's disgusting eating habits throughout the series.
The Hot Dog in the Thong Song

Year: 2000 Where it's from: Sisqo's music video for "Thong Song" Why it's awesome: The hot dog makes a casual one second appearance at 2:15, in between Sisqo doing back-flips and women shaking their asses. It's a testament to the tubesteak's star power that such a short cameo made an impact.
"Is it the Frank or the Beans?"

Year: 1998 Where it's from: There's Something About Mary Why it's awesome: The scene ensured that we'll never look at franks and beans in the same way again.
Brick's Falafel Hot Dog

Year: 2004 Where it's from: Anchor Man Why it's awesome: Steve Carell, playing the mentally impaired Brick, chows down on what he calls, "One of those delicious falafel hot dogs with cinnamon and bacon on it," when it's actually just a used coffee filter wrapped around cigarette butts. They probably taste the same anyway.
"Somebody Get This Man a Hot Dog!"

Year: 1998 Where it's from: BASEketball Why it's awesome: With Milwaukee Beers owner Ted Denslow choking on a hot dog, Trey Parker performs CPR, causing the frank to soar out of Denslow's mouth and then right back in. Of course, Parker's not paying attention, leading to the perfect punchline for the gag.
