A lot of people mourn the death of the old, punk-rock Bowery and the influx of luxury condos and trendy restaurants in its stead. But clearly Marky Ramone—someone intimately familiar with those raw CBGB days—doesn’t have beef with Daniel Boulud’s haute sausage temple DBGB, as he’s agreed to host a Whole Hog dinner at the restaurant next Tuesday, April 30. Chef Boulud will get the party started with a roasted suckling pig, then Marky will flex his culinary steez as well—he’s got a signature marinara sauce, which will find it way into a smoked mozzarella ravioli.

With Daniel and Marky working the room, revelers gathered around communal tables, and plentiful New York State wine and beer flowing from the likes of Bronx Brewery and Channing Daughters, it should be a real party—if not the type that includes heroin needles and mosh pits. The $75-a-head event is sold out, but we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader.
