Next Tuesday, jack-of-all-trades music man Mayer Hawthorne will be known for more than just his soulful crooning. Like many great men who have come before him, he will have a burger named in his honor.

Umami Burger plans to unveil the  Hawthorne ($13)—a patty topped with “cognac-infused parsnip puree, cognac fondue sauce, hatch chiles and hatch chile straws”—at its Hollywood post, Umami Urban. The collabo may seem left field, but the singer has spoken at length to Eater LA about his love of the city’s food scene, mentioning Umami Burger as a favorite. He is scheduled to DJ at the release of his signature burger.

Umami Burger has developed its cultish following in SoCal, but Umami Burger founder Adam Fleischman’s has plans for nationwide domination. There are currently 35 new Umami Burgers in development across the country, including one in NYC.

Thus far, there’s no word on whether the Hawthorne joint will be made available outside of the Hollywood location.
