Freddie Gibbs runs a tight ship on the road. Nearing the end of his 38-city Shadow of a Doubt tour, the Gary, Indiana rapper stopped mid-performance Wednesday night to humiliate his DJ for screwing up the set. Pacing the stage at U Street Music Hall in Washington, D.C., occasionally pausing to puff on a blunt, Gibbs berated the DJ while the crowd booed below.

“I swear to god, if you fuck up again, Ima beat yo ass like Ike beat Tina. Keep your shit together,” he said, cutting through the jeers. “Do it like you ’bout to get some pussy even though we know you not.”

The confrontation didn’t get physical, but Gibbs punished the DJ for his sloppiness all the same, forcing him to chug a bottle of Patron from behind the turntables.

“Where the bottle go?” Gibbs said before chanting "chug" along with the audience.

Making someone down an entire bottle of tequila isn’t always the best way to boost brain function, but hey, Gangsta Gibbs has his own way of doing things.

“I’m not going to argue the credit I deserve,” he told First We Feast in January. "It’s a blessing. I get mine when it’s due."

He proved as much when he created a "Street Lovers" pizza for us in L.A. earlier this year:
