Plenty of Americans now get groceries delivered to their homes. The next logical iteration of that trend: craft-beer delivered to your door.
Riip Beer, a micro-brewery in Huntington Beach, CA, is hand delivering its custom-made beer directly to customers’ homes. The brewery was co-founded by Ryan Hopkins and his brother just a few years after the pair started home brewing out of their garage. They eventually moved their operation to a warehouse, but didn’t have a permit to sell beer out of the space.
So they came up with a very intelligent solution that doubles as a fantastic marketing ploy: The brother’s deliver their craft beer to customers’ homes in an original 1931 Helms Bakery bread truck (and yes, it has a horn).
“We just put it up on Facebook one day and said, ‘Hey we’re delivering,’ and people started rolling orders through,” co-owner Ryan Rasmussen tells ABC 7.
If you want a growler of Riip’s Wake’n Bake Coffee Stout or Riipalicious IPA delivered to your door—and you happen to live in Huntington Beach where Riip currently makes deliveries—just place your order by calling the brothers at.
Here’s to hoping breweries across America adopt this home-delivery method.
